Gardens play an important role in the life of Ulrike Creischer-Nentwig. Anyone who has ever been lucky enough to look out on a green ‘paradise’ of their own at home in Mönchengladbach or at a holiday home at Sulzano in Italy will understand why nature always creeps into her painting. She has also lovingly tended the garden at the BIS cultural centre for many years now. And she brings the same commitment to organizing the exhibitions at the Café BisQuit. Her multi-faceted acrylic/mixed media pictures are as lively as the artist herself, and they simultaneously radiate a maturity which is explained by her life experiences, her wide-ranging travels, and her continual ‘commuting’ between two worlds. The exhibition runs from 12th March to 15th May 2019. Entry is free.
Bismarckstraße 97–99, 41061 Mönchengladbach
Tues., Weds., Fri. 10 a.m. – noon, Thurs. 4 – 8 p.m.
