Already for the tenth time the entrepreneur Lars Thierling from Mönchengladbach and his colleagues from everyday life are organizing an honorary family event on the TV 1848 grounds shortly before the beginning of the summer holidays. During a rally with around 20 action stations, families become active – not only the children, but also parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles … take part! While there has been a trip around the world, a pirate festival and a circus festival so far, this year’s festival has the motto “Back to the Roots”. Here, memories of games come to life, with which we or perhaps even our grandmothers and grandpas grew up.

And in order to combine the pleasant with the useful, motor skills and coordination are also promoted – and all this free of charge, exclusively supported by volunteers and sponsors. Here are a few highlights: currently 24 stations with games that the adults all played on the street in their youth, a huge (26m) bouncy castle course, an equally huge pirate slide and a photo campaign.

6 July 2019, from 12 a.m. to 6 p.m., at the sports facility of TV 1848, Bökelstraße 63 in Mönchengladbach.
